Virginia Water Pool House

This overtly crisp, modern pool house was designed as part of a large, high specification residential development in Virginia Water, Surrey.

With a key focus on adaptability across the seasons, the façade was designed to fully open up on all sides for the summer months by using large areas of sliding glazed walls. Careful placement of roof lights draws natural light deep into the plan of the building through glazing at each of the roof junctions.

Attention to detail and choice of materials is powerful. Stretched PVC ceiling provides the appearance of reflective white glass creating a poetic relationship with the water in the pool below. This project was completed whilst working as a Senior Associate at Martin Evans Architects.
